Hello everyone!
It is the end of the 1st marking period, and it certainly did go fast. Here is a quick update as to where everyone is:

We will learn about their lives as well as their music. The students will be quizzed on their knowledge of basic opera terminology as well as their knowledge of these 4 composers. We will also continue our study of pitches and rhythms.

We are beginning our unit on patriotic music. Students will study various patriotic songs, and gain an understanding of how they are written and why they are written. Many of the students are already familiar with the basics, but we will get more practice reading and writing music this marking period.
